JCW airbox Advice

Hey all,

i come from the land down under and seek some advice regarding what parts are needed to convert my stock R56 Cooper S airbox over to a JCW cone filter version, my dealer claims i need to replace the box, 3 pipes, the airflow sensor and a bracket all = $$$$$, but going by the discussion on several forums it seems to be a lot easier. but i am yet to find the exact list of items i need to do the conversion.

Im aware our cars are most likely different, but i'd like to have a list that i can present to my dealers to show him he is wrong.

Thanks guys.

Take a look at this link:

All you should need is the airbox, filter and a gasket as shown. It is completely DIY.

Sounds like your MINI dealer needs to get in line for the company drug test. it's only a couple of parts as shown above.

Some people say that I will never get the money out of my MINI that I have put into it. I say, "I get my money's worth everytime I hit the ignition button".
Mods: RMW tuned with many mods... 213.9WHP / 227ftlbs Wheel Torque

Especially considering he said you need the air flow sensor, Aus R56 Mini does not run a MAF. The JCW airbox has a plasic adapter where the MAF would fit.
