Yes, I agree 100% - on the track, it should be a little beast.

Hubie told me the head is capable of 10K engine speed. The stock Eaton would need a huge pulley to keep its speed down and the motor would need build of course.. and stand alone.

The car won't be seeing any 1/4 mile action... not my style - hopefully I'll be able to get a couple track events in when it cools off though.

I have been planning on making the trek down to PHX/LA here at the end of the year just in time for BOOST SEASON to get a tune.

Ha! I just realized there was a dyno plot with your original post. I can see crap from work

With a 1.6L motor, the torque still is relatively low, so the car still drives "like a MINI" just a screamer to the top end now.

Cars like Kalbones are the ones that have the wheel spin issues - turbochargers are much better at making torque due to their function
I agree. The torque is still relatively low. That HP number is achieved like a Honda get's it's HP number. Lots of RPM and keeping the velocity high at the high RPM to hold the torque up high. You'd be surprised it probably dosent actually "FEEL" any quicker even though it is. To take real advantage of that you need shorter gearing though. Now Certain other mini's with a bit more displacement 1st , 2nd , and 3rd ARE completely useless.

Car is still doing excellent. First gear with the open diff in the colder AZ weather (50's) defiantly requires good modulation. Anything approaching 3/4 throttle in first breaks the 215/40 dunlop direzza's loose. 3rd gear can still activate DSC, but I usually don't push the car that hard w/o dsc on in the city - usually approaching some speeds that are not legal.

I need to lose some weight around the car, but I only know of the rear seat - not much else is too practical for a daily driver.
