Paul, We in the states do not have a national VAT. States, however, do have sales tax and the percentage along with the items taxed varies state by state. Furthermore individual counties, cities and the like can add additional amounts on top of the state tax.

The Texas state sales and use tax rate is 6.25%, but local taxing jurisdictions (cities, counties, special purpose districts, and transit authorities, but specifically not including school districts) may also impose sales and use taxes up to 2% for a total of 8.25%. Medicine, produce, eggs, meats, bakery products, and others are exempt from tax.

Now that is just for Texas, each state is different.

When a business entity makes a purchase for resale they are exempt from paying sales tax on that item. However, it is taxed when sold within the same state the business has a physical location or is registered in.

Mail order is a huge in the US since if I purchase an item from a business in another state there is no sales tax. It gets very complex at times. Amazon has to charge sales to people that buy from them that reside in the states where Amazon has a distribution facility. Amazon pays that collected tax to that state.

The laws on the books in some states are such that you are supposed to report and pay the sales tax for mail order goods. Yeah, good luck with that.

There has been a proliferation of Tax Holidays where for a week or weekend, usually before school is back in session sales tax is not charged on certain items such as school supplies and clothing.

In short the tax system in the US is really screwed up.

I totally agree Mike.

He got the RMW header months before we debut our header at AMVIV. As a matter of fact, EZput loves the RMW header - just not the constant codes.

Yes and once he found out about yours he didn't want his fixed. He wanted his money back to get yours. I don't have a problem with him wanting your header. Just pointing out the real reason behind this dumb thread .

FYI: EZput is currently running the STOCK header... he's on the waiting list for the MM-Straight header... At this point in time, EZ is using his factory header!!! if you don't believe me, i will bet you $1,000,000 dollars and even throw in a free plane ticket from LAX to Phx Pls bring CASH...

Yes I know that. I read what I posted from your web site. He is very excited to finally get the header he always wanted .

Why would I fly to Phx? Are you guys not packing up shop and moving to SoCal ?

cheers.

That's a Deal in the world of race motors. Price (if you can get anyone to quote you a real price) out a Runoffs "stock" spec miata motor or to really blow your mind a GT1 motor some time. Keep in mind these are all for ameture SCCA Club racing cars with ZERO prize money. I had a guy tell me one weekend when I spotted a washer on the back of his water pump pulley cutting into the belt on his GT1 car that I saved him $75,000 (the price of a rebuild after he cooked it). And he didn't even buy me lunch. The nerve!

Sad?? This is pure comedy. She finds the child like behavior on here hilarious at times. Lots of rolled eye. I have about 5 serious hobbies. I'm lucky she takes an interest in at least one .

Because EZ's car is in Phx and not SoCal. EZ's car is not a shop car, I think you have that a little mixed up.

I think what he was saying, that the so called "LIST" was made by you "LongBoard" and you told your wife about how popular you are on NAM. But you told your wife this: Ya baby that's right, that's right! Nobody messes with RMW ! But it had nothing to do with RMW making that list, you "LongBoard" made the list right?

Yeah these threads are pretty hiliarious, it's all good.

Could this be the scenario...?
1. EZ has a problem with a product.
2. He called/emailed/pm'd the vendor and got the cold shoulders.
3. He then called/emailed/pm'd the mfg, and that too got the cold shoulders.
4. All he wanted was a functional unit w/o problems and was forced to jump thru some hoops.
5. Not satisfied with the options, EZ went to the CC company and got the desired result...

Based on the above time line, it's apparent that EZ has given the parties involved PLENTY of chances to rigth this wrong...

EZ put lives in AZ and his car is here. He has no plans of moving to Cali :D

============
Let's be realistic here, no parts are perfect 100% of the time. One of our first headers threw a code and someone had to make a NEW Thread about it and got a bunch of people dancing around the "camp fire" like a b-day celebration... it's all good b/c it did happened and we've found a solution to it.

When the Jet-hot coating didn't hold up to racing temps and start to flake off, did i tell the customer to pound sand b/c Jet-hot did the coating and not MYNES? No. I sent the customer a new coated header, got the returned header from customer, then i dealt with Jet-Hot directly... It's a little more work and effort at my end, but we stand behind our products and service our customers - it's called customer "SERVICE"....

Wait, why am i writing this to you, you're not part of THE COMPANY... My bad... I got you confused with someone else...

You forgot step 4.5 where he made multiple pointless threads calling out Jan for a refund and for 'options' for his malfunctioning header. Never was Helix mentioned. Yes, RMW/Jan may not provide exceptional customer service, but if Helix gave them the cold shoulder, then neither did Helix. Why EZ chose to target Jan/RMW and not Helix? I don't know. But as you also said, not all parts are perfect and EZ over reacted with all the threads that led to no where cept creating a battle field for RMW followers and RMW bashers.

You may say apples to lemons, but after watching the two videos of your car blowing coolant on the windshield in it's debut and Ian's setting the class record at Sebring I'd opt for the latter, no matter what you call it.

The sad thing is...even in that state(cracked cylinder head) Greg's car would still smoke you and your 273 whp on the track...give me a break. 273...yea right. You be dreamin'.

Same dyno Johnny's car and Longboards was on, but it doesn't matter. My car actually runs, haven't seen Greg make any videos of himself in a while.

I do find it funny that you think Greg's car would be competitive against a 3000lb convertible on the track, I would hope so, once it turns a lap again.

So...neither mdbsat or M3NTAL received an invoice from Jan at Revolution Mini Works for their parts, and i'll go out on a limb here and say that there are probably more of his customers that didn't either.

That sounds kind of risky to me...we all know how the Feds(or even the state of CA, for that matter) loves to be cheated out of tax money.

Man, that takes some big balls...and i'm just talking parts. Imagine all the cash from the toons that he didn't pay tax on or claim?

True, that was a nasty video, but I never did have any issue being 100% honest on what was going on with my car, even knowing children like you would some day throw it back in my face. But that is off topic, and if you like then please go ahead and start a thread about it and I'll answer any questions you may have.
Fact is that after talking with someone who just received an RMW motor and hearing that they had to start replacing parts before they could even get into the car, was enough for me to just shake my head in disbelief.

If you are going to call people children, take a good look in the mirror bringing folks personal issues onto this board earlier in this thread. At least I kept it to cars.
