That's a Deal in the world of race motors. Price (if you can get anyone to quote you a real price) out a Runoffs "stock" spec miata motor or to really blow your mind a GT1 motor some time. Keep in mind these are all for ameture SCCA Club racing cars with ZERO prize money. I had a guy tell me one weekend when I spotted a washer on the back of his water pump pulley cutting into the belt on his GT1 car that I saved him $75,000 (the price of a rebuild after he cooked it). And he didn't even buy me lunch. The nerve!

You may say apples to lemons, but after watching the two videos of your car blowing coolant on the windshield in it's debut and Ian's setting the class record at Sebring I'd opt for the latter, no matter what you call it.

The sad thing is...even in that state(cracked cylinder head) Greg's car would still smoke you and your 273 whp on the track...give me a break. 273...yea right. You be dreamin'.

Same dyno Johnny's car and Longboards was on, but it doesn't matter. My car actually runs, haven't seen Greg make any videos of himself in a while.

I do find it funny that you think Greg's car would be competitive against a 3000lb convertible on the track, I would hope so, once it turns a lap again.

If your talking Johnny's car, the black turbo 'vert, that I will believe...Hubie was in on it, and his stuff is straight up.
Bryan's car...i'm on the fence, he has different forced induction...but he has no 1/4 mile or anything else showing the true power on the tar.
Your car...no thanks, all I see there are inflated numbers.

Then you won't believe anything RMW does, which is fine. The track records stand on their own.

True, that was a nasty video, but I never did have any issue being 100% honest on what was going on with my car, even knowing children like you would some day throw it back in my face. But that is off topic, and if you like then please go ahead and start a thread about it and I'll answer any questions you may have.
Fact is that after talking with someone who just received an RMW motor and hearing that they had to start replacing parts before they could even get into the car, was enough for me to just shake my head in disbelief.

If you are going to call people children, take a good look in the mirror bringing folks personal issues onto this board earlier in this thread. At least I kept it to cars.

I actually did the same thing as Longboard... I was talking to a friend about how I was on some internet guys "list"... They thought that Longboard must really like me to have included me on a list of people associated with having some sort of personal vendetta.

So the hilarity goes both ways. One side laughs because they are being watched as if they are "known criminals" and the other side laughs because they actually are little gnats pestering us wherever we go on multiple forums - where the provide zero use.

Ahhh so thats how you get out of guarantees, by not issuing an invoice

So the CA tax is like our VAT that if you buy 50 camshafts you can claim the VAT back, then you collect the VAT again when you sell it individuay to a customer.

So when can you not make a chargeback in the USA. is there a set period of time ?

Paul, We in the states do not have a national VAT. States, however, do have sales tax and the percentage along with the items taxed varies state by state. Furthermore individual counties, cities and the like can add additional amounts on top of the state tax.

The Texas state sales and use tax rate is 6.25%, but local taxing jurisdictions (cities, counties, special purpose districts, and transit authorities, but specifically not including school districts) may also impose sales and use taxes up to 2% for a total of 8.25%. Medicine, produce, eggs, meats, bakery products, and others are exempt from tax.

Now that is just for Texas, each state is different.

When a business entity makes a purchase for resale they are exempt from paying sales tax on that item. However, it is taxed when sold within the same state the business has a physical location or is registered in.

Mail order is a huge in the US since if I purchase an item from a business in another state there is no sales tax. It gets very complex at times. Amazon has to charge sales to people that buy from them that reside in the states where Amazon has a distribution facility. Amazon pays that collected tax to that state.

The laws on the books in some states are such that you are supposed to report and pay the sales tax for mail order goods. Yeah, good luck with that.

There has been a proliferation of Tax Holidays where for a week or weekend, usually before school is back in session sales tax is not charged on certain items such as school supplies and clothing.

In short the tax system in the US is really screwed up.

So...neither mdbsat or M3NTAL received an invoice from Jan at Revolution Mini Works for their parts, and i'll go out on a limb here and say that there are probably more of his customers that didn't either.

That sounds kind of risky to me...we all know how the Feds(or even the state of CA, for that matter) loves to be cheated out of tax money.

Man, that takes some big balls...and i'm just talking parts. Imagine all the cash from the toons that he didn't pay tax on or claim?
