I can honestly say that I have had nothing but excellent customer service from Jan and RMW. I had the same problem, my Header was supposedly one of the newer headers. I was constantly getting the same code P0420. I contacted Jan told him of the situation. I actually Met Jan for a Tune, he took a look at my header and told me he would send me a new one. I have since replaced the bad header with the new header and all is well. The car is much more responsive since I have had the Cam, Header and custom tune. Plus the car sounds Awesome I am very pleased. The new header so far is good and no codes have popped up.

Flyn, I'm glad that you did not have to go thru what I did. The header does sound great but throwing codes is just not acceptable. Since I got my money back, I have sent the header back to Helix and will never deal with Jan or Helix again.

Since you purchased thru Helix, who did you return the header to? Since I haven't read all the post/threads on this bitchfest, did you mention early on Helix was involved?

It didnt/doesnt matter. Neither RMW nor Helix were helpful in EZs case. I am not sure what you are getting at.

I did FINALLY get MY problem with the same header as EZs resovled. No codes as of yet and I am pleased with that. Pleased with the service? Hardly, having to deal with 5 months of waiting and rmw fanboys has assured me I am finished with rmw products. Great header and I will keep it for sure, other than that it has been more trouble than its worth.

Glad you got your money back Ez, sorry you had to go through all the crap to get to get it though.

My point was getting the vendor involved. If he did, then my comments are not valid. If neither were any help, he indeed was left up the creek without a paddle.

He might have been trying to keep Helix's name out of it?

Very good possibility. I think the hardest part concerning complaints/problems is the assumptions made based on how the OP states the problem. It isn't a problem with the OP, rather how the reader interprets the problem. At times I have read more into a post than was there or wondered what the agenda was.

I'm just a bit confused... if I bought a defective Sony TV from Best Buy, aren't I suppose to take it up with Best Buy for a refund? Why drag out Sony on the spot instead of contacting Best Buy for a charge back? Metaphorically speaking...

I do not partially agree.

Both Jan and Helix were contacted during this saga, the charge back went to Helix because that is who I bought it from, simple as that. Now it's up to Helix to go get their money back from Jan.........or not,who cares. Yes it went back to Helix.

You bought the Header from Helix. You should have been throwing your tantrum to them in the first place. Instead, you chose to bring Jan the manufacturer to the front lines before you did Helix.

From what I'm reading, some find that peculiar as do I. But hey, you got your end result and you were able to bash Jan! Good job!

Helix was just the middleman in the transaction. They didn't design or build the header, Jan did(?).
Not to mention, Helix is a much more reputable and respectable vendor...I would have went right around them too so they didn't have to get dragged down with Jan's defective parts. It's not their fault the header throws constant codes.

BTW, thanks for keeping the thread on top.

Anyway, Helix is not just a middle man... Helix should be equipped to handle defective parts if their selling them. Doesn't matter if they designed or built it, they sold it. They should have been the first recourse. After of all these posts from EZ, I never knew he bought the Header from Helix. I find it odd is all
