EU cars are Map only (speed density)

US is MAP+ air flow meter

so i guess it provides more obsticles in tuning..

I'll bet my car, the Mini's Map sensor is only a 2 bar map sensor

1 Bar atmosphere + 1 Bar of Boost

you just lost a car

well you are half right he is maxing out the map sensor voltage that
is acceptable from the car

but the map sensor is more than 2.5bar sensor

almost 3bar

I have the same problem with my car. It's running to the rev limiter with 0,9 bar/about 13 PSI. Above that the trottle plate closes half way.

My tuner thinks that it's the mapcensor that is the problem, but he is not sure.

I will get back with information as soon I have found a solution for the problem.

Why don't you help us all by posting the solution here so we can all take a look at it to evaluate.

Thanks.

Personally i wouldnt have went the big turbo route unless i was 110% that i had a custom tune available so i hope it works out for you guys Let us know how you get on!
In Denmark we do not have that many Mini Coopers or Peugeot 207 GT or RC because of the big taxes we have on cars (180%). Therefor there I'm the first in Denmark who is replacing the original turbo with a bigger one. I have not meet another Dane who has started a project like this.

My tuner is a whery good tuner in Denmark but he has not been working on a car like mine because I'm the pioneer on a cars like mine. I'm sure that my tuner can fix my car.

The reason why my car is'nt ready yet is that I have ordered new and stronger connecting rods from Pauter, just to be sure. When my tuner has the time to switch the connecting rods my car will be ready and running like a rocket

Hi Coopman7

You are refering to a scan tool in this input. Is it like the software Vagcom for Vagcars???

Can you teel me more about it???

Only way to overcome this is a custom remap.

Being that you are in EU you shoudnt have a problem getting your car mapped but mtuning3's is US spec so is more difficult to tune.

I just use a normal universal code reader to view it. RAC CAN-BUS universal code reader.

Yes. But if you read through all of his threads that he has started it's not finished, but it does say that it is tuned in the ad.

I also saw this the other day

http://www.northamericanmotoring.com...ct/8100/cat/28

Different user name but same picture and location. I smell something fishy. The car that we have all been following on this thread hoping for some data sheets but being sold with a different name.

Yeah I read through this thread whenever I need a laugh at work. He even started a thread about Jan form RMW coming to Stamford CT when Jan was going to be in TX. He is also starting new threads and posting about the Alta turbo kit with the new name that he is trying to sell the car/turbo set up with.

Interesting.......

So than what is with two different names and not keeping this thread up to date with your progress on the tuning of the car. Also if it's fully done home come no dyno charts?
