Being a MINI enthusiest and reading as much as I can on NAM, I have seen the ridiculous fingerpointing, name calling, and bickering going on back and forth between different customers and vendors alike. Why read this? Because the customer knows best EDIT: CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT, and in my case, Way knows best. I am a LOYAL customer of Way Motor Works, not only because of Way's professionalism and honesty, but because he knows his stuff and he is not afraid to be brutaly honest. He is the type of guy who will tell you that you dont need product A. becasue product B. would be more benifical for you based on what you personally need. He isnt the guy who sits at the computer and uploads everything he can online, and consume hours of his day reading forums, he is the guy under the car with grease on his hands because he is working for customer satisfaction. He goes above and beyoned the expectations his customers have, and anyone who knows Way personally or professionaly could tell you that. As a loyal customer here is a few Modifications he has done for me...
Below: The top arrow shows the DDM Intake that he installed a month ago, AMAZING product...You want to hear the turbo charger wind? You want the blow-off valve to burst clear as day? DDM is the way to go....Arrow on the right shows Sensor for the Boost guage inside(see next picture)....the lowest arrow barely shows the WMW heat shield under the factory, adds at least 1-2 pounds of boost after stock
Below shows the Boost and Water Temp Guages that Way installed last month....i wish they were white like the tach, but they work great!
Painted my break calipers Blue to match the exterior
and now for the most recent...The WMW exhaust system...WOW...eveyone said the 2'5 inch wouldnt work? Cant push any more power? WRONG...the car drives AMAZING now...i thought I loved my MINI after having it for a few months, I thought I loved it after racing it on a Go-Kart track, but Way has increased the love...Now, instead of the normal 9-11 lbs of boost...i push 12-16lbs of boost....i dont know of another MINI exhaust that can really push those numbers that fast with no ECU tuning...My dad has an '08 S with JCW Stage 1 kit, and this exhaust sounds better, in my opinion the the works....very impressed!
and closer...
So Why WMW? I think everything you have just seen is enough to say....I will NOT go somewhere else...you can argue what you want, you can point all the fingers you want, but Way is the real-deal...He does NOT disappoint! Thumbs Up Way, keep it going, and you will keep your business strong!

hendricks.
you have a very pretty auto there. thanks for posting photos. You wrote, "Because the customer knows best." I usually think of this as, "The customer is always right." Either way, we agree that the customer should be served. I've been dealing with a subsurface drilling manufacturer and parts supplier for about two months. The rep for my region seems oblivious to these tenants. I had enough of him in about two days and have been dealing directly with HQ since then. Sometimes someone at HQ will suggest I work with that guy and I say, "No thanks."
+1 on much of what has been said - Way's fantastic.
But I've been in business way too long to believe "The Customer's Always Right"... a fundamental myth of business... I've known far too many clueless customers.... you can lead a horse to water....but you can't make them think...
Now, "Customer Comes First" is absolutely the right attitude- but sometimes they don't know - and won't listen to - what's best for them...

Yah it was getting late and i had been ridiculously tired and didnt realize the wording I had, but I have edited...I know customer doesnt always know, but when it comes to what they want, and who they go with, the choice is theres. But again the edits should now reflect.

Definitely agree that Way is top notch in terms of service and knowledge. I've got to call him so I can give him some more of my money.
hendricks488, were you on 10th in Speedway a bit before 8 AM the other day? (maybe Thursday, but it was a long week) I think I saw you but didn't get a chance to wave; your car looks awesome.

Probably so...I take 10th from the West side (Ben Davis area) down 10th to Capitol where my family has an HVAC co. i generally try to get a good brights flash in when i can to my fellow MINI enthusiests...next time, you'll hear me comin' by not just catching a sight, now that the WMW Turbo-back is purr'n

He installed two different DDM intakes so I could pick the one I liked. I agree 100%. He knows how to wrench, and did not say anything to mislead me. I feel that if he built and exhaust it would be the best on the market. I only met the guy once but he made an impression. He would not publish dyno numbers showing 10 HP from a catback and 12hp from a street intake because his experience would tell him this is not possible in an already efficient R56
College Kid has to represent everything "Tride and True"

Cool, I'll be interested to hear it next time around.
ok now this is by no means does complete justice BBUUTT....i have to deal with what i have...camera is pretty good with stills but not the best at video...audio is a bit off, not to mention im at the mercy of youtube...but it's a start, and an idea...
again, the sound that the WMW exhaust puts out all the time is consistantly better than the JCW catback....infact on my dad's car with the JCW stage 1 kit, he is thinking of removing it in-order to put on the WMW turbo back

I recently bought a pair of WMW CAIs from AXC, thanks to ^ that guy who, along with Hansie, showed me and my other half how cool it sounds and feels in a Cooper.
So, they arrive in the mail. What's this ? No installation instructions ? Nope, but there is a business card. Waylan's card. One call later, I have very good instructions in my e-mail account.
They won't help a desk jockey like me, but they just might help the technician down the road who's installing them the day after tomorrow.
Point is... excellent customer service from WMW !!!
And thanks, Mishka, for helping me spend my money !
5 lbs of boost with just an intake and exhaust? Color me skeptical...
Im telling you....its nuts, Way was impressed himself how it drives now..but dont forget the WMW heat shield...
