Spent the past weekend at the BMW CCA Peachtree Chapter's DE at Road Atlanta. The newly repaved 2.54-mile Grand Prix road course features 12 challenging turns with incredible elevation changes including an 11 story drop with a blind approach.
Some pictures from Saturday, Sundays will be arriving in a few weeks.
Coming up through the esses
Exiting Turn 5, top of the esses
Hitting the apex at 5
Headed uphill exiting Turn 6
Exiting Turn 10A, one of the slowest points on the track.
Turn 10B about to head uphill to the bridge.
Lining up to crest hill under the bridge
Cresting hill, about to drop 11 stories to off camber Turn 12. All you see in the distance is tree tops, from on track it looks like you are about to drive off the edge of the earth.
Hope top have more shots from other places on the track in the next set that is to be sent to me.
very cool... thanks for the invite but i was out of town.... how did you do vs the other cars?
about 15 years ago I did a triathlon where road atlanta was part of the bike and run course....
