While old hatchback civics can be mean, i bet he has a wild setup. It takes practice.. Just keep going out to poractice when you can, sooner or later you will perfect your Reaction Times, and also shift smoothly. It takes a while to finess everything out.. Good Job

I wouldn't call a Civic running what looks to be a 13's run 'wild' ;)

It's a good run. What was the weather like and do you remember your trap speed?

Looked like a good run to me. Civic did a 14.72 you were within a tenth. IF you have an 04 or earlier. Its about right according to the announcer. The Civic normally will Take a Mini by half a fender off the line then we play catch-up This is all due to the Mini's Tall first gear and CR gearbox. An 05 with the revised Gearbox doesn't have this problem.

trap speed

My trap speed was 96.18mph and it had rained previously, they had just dried the track, and then it rained again, otherwise there would be more than one run on my video. The temp was like 75 degrees which i felt was a good temp for the supercharger to perform well. If anybody has any ideas how to improve my time, please tell me, I am investing in some new 17's with Spec 2 tires, b/c the run flats just are not cutting it, and I found some rims i really like. BTW I filmed in 16:9 b/c i got a new plasma widescreen and I wanted the best picturepossible on it.

Would Drag Radials help reduce your et?? A perfect 96mph (probably rwd) should be a 13.8 with a 1.89 60ft I presume yours was a 2.4ish??
I would personally work on the 60ft time as this will reduce your et more than anything else, good luck.

Yea.....id get some tire if u want a better jump....also practice launchin ur car ALOT n ull get it down. Sometimes burnin the tires isnt bad if you hold it just right as you get momentum.

I hope you have done some mods since this video! I got beat by a hatch back civic and told myself "never again" since then I have spent roughly $5k in mods but haven't lost to another civic yet!
