I can't figure it out = does anyone have any experience with both cars?
Which one gets the hatch dirtier? I might have to trade in the S.
Cooper with a rear spoiler or without? /.........S ???????? oh, yeah, and how do I keep the hatch of my S clean? Thanks for your input!
I have both, and both get dirty in the back much more quickly than anywhere else. The S has the front mudguards and they DO help along the sides. The Cooper has the front mudguards, too, and as stated, are nice. The Cooper also has the Cooper spoiler in back and rear mudguards [not available on the S]. It's pretty much of a tossup...both cars get dirty faster than anything I've ever seen...it's just the rear design of the car, I guess.
Well, thanks, so far.......nope, no prize for the dirtiest! nemini.org had some picture contest a while ago and there were lurking some mighty damn dirty MINIs out there. From one guy who owns both models and also been to numerous MINI events and a keen observer: the S gets a dirtier bum, no argument.
Go ahead, post yur dirty butt pics! It might turn out to be fun for all!
I drove my S in the rain for the first time the other day ,after 2 hours of hard rain the car looked like it had just been washed except for the hatch ,looked like it was dipped in mud.
I saw a photo of a filthy car. Finger-written on the hatch was "I wish my wife was this dirty."
As to the OP's question, the spoiler has no impact, except for immediately under it. It's where you go/when you drive that determines if you will get dirty.
