What cleaner for the Plastics???

What cleaner can anyone suggest for the plastics on the fenders of the MCS? I've tried Armorall an it just looks like crap.

Yes, yes it does!
My current favorite is Wizards Black Renew that is offered by Detailers Paradise.
BTW Stun - this would be better in the Detailing 101 forum. Lots of info over there!

i asked the same question when i first got my car, and was recommeneded peanut oil, and it works, the first day or two makes it look WAY to glossy, but for the next few weeks its looking good

unfortunately it seems it needs to be applied about every month or two or the fenders go back to their pre-spruced way

Check out Josh Wardell's blog, he has done testing on different trim cleaners, waxes, etc

Here's the link to the latest trim cleaner test... http://www.jwardell.com/mini/2006/09...have-a-winner/

You can use the "report post" feature to ask that a thread be moved. (The "report post" button is the red-and-white triangle with the exclamation point in it at the top-right corner of the post (next to the post #). I've already asked the mods to move this thread for you.

Despite the wording that pops up when you report a post, the feature is NOT just for reporting harassing/abusive/vulgar posts. You can also use it if a thread needs moved, or if there are technical problems with the thread and you have a question for the admins.

I've got a gel that will be for sale here on NAM very shortly. I will be posting details on it by Monday. It's a formula I came up with to deal with the extensive plastic we have on our MINIs, it goes on easy, and lasts for a very long time. As one lady at AMVIV said, Peanut Butter lasts a long time, but it's never looked as good as my gel.

Keep an eye on the Vendor Announcement area for details.

Richard

Hmmm, I've heard tell of this OG gel. Supposed to have been release in mid-April if I recall, don't know if that was 2007 or 08 though. Full of magical powers and voodoo some say.

I think I sang this about a month ago...

"Tomorrow, Tomorrow, OG says tomorrow, it's always a day a-way..."

But we love him anyway

Hahah, well tomorrow, I'm supervising the manufacturing of it--so atleast I'll have product in my hands--literally. I've got the bottles, and labels are being designed and acquired. I want to get some buzz going, so I will be doing preorders, hopefully by tomorrow--hard to say--my sons 3rd birthday is tomorrow and lots of stuff going on around his party--at school tomorrow and a big bash on Saturday.

Dear Richard,
My trim, and aero grills especially, look like crap. 303 apologizes for just not cutting it. Waiting impatiently.

It's perfect for the trim, but no so perfect for the aero grills. I have them too, but it's really hard to spread it evenly, unless you have so much patience to use a Q-tip! I prefer Meguiar's Trim Detailer in aerosol form to make the Aero trim black again.
