It's obvious that I don't know much about car wax.
I was given a bottle of this Finish 2001 car wax...should I throw it out? Will it melt my MINI paint?

What is the #1 recommended wax?

Thanks.

No, but it won't do all that much for you either. It's a synthetic, very easy to work with, doesn't produce great depth or clarity, especially on dark colors, and doesn't last that long either.

I highly recommend this report:

While Zaino is an excellent product and probably does last longer than anything out there, it may be a little tricky to work with for the novice. P21s is also an excellent product.

OK, I'd like to try Zaino. Checked out their website and there are several products. WHat's best for Mini? Does the Mini have a clearcoat finish??

If you want to try zaino get these(some aren't zaino but I personal feel are better)

1) ClayMagic Clay bar and spray(Zaino Clay is over priced and not that great)
2) Zaino Z2
3) Zaino ZFX
4) Zaino Z6
5) Their glass polish is great but is abrasive so don't use it daily but works awesome...for daily cleaning use Stoners Invisible Glass
6) Z5 is a waste as it barely adds depth(if you want depth top it with p21s the day after you zaino your car after a wash) and doesn't do much for swirls if you ahve them(to fill minor swirls use 3m SMR)
7) Zaino Car Wash

If you have leather the zaino leather care is also great but there are others out there that as just as good - The plastic polish is pretty good as well and their Tire Finisher is 2nd to none in my book.
