Just wanted to thank you guys for the intro to Prima Hydro! I am completely sold on this stuff. It is AWESOME. I have almost gone thru my 16oz bottle already and just ordered a gallon yesturday. I live in Oregon and it rains most of the time in the spring. I used Hydro on my Mini and Toyota Sequoia two weeks ago. Both still look good even with the off and on again rain. The real reason I'm so excited about this stuff is that it lasts!! Real test: two weeks of weather and water still beads and sheets off of the windshield!!...that kind of protection with the easy application..I cant say enough
ML - I really think you're using too much. I have a small spritz bottle for my travel detail bag. The spray is a very fine mist so not much comes out per spritz. I have used only half the bottle after about 6 washes so only about 1.5 oz total. You can really get by with using less rather than more since all you are really doing is spreading a thin film of Hydro over the surface. If you use too much you will be just leaving the excess in your towel - and this stuff is too expensive to wash down the drain.
Okay... that cinches it. I'm going to have to try this stuff. Might as well get the gallon size, too, since I know it would only be a month or two before I go through the 16 ounce bottle.
This will mean I own every Prima product known to man.
Heck, you can use Hydro to re-wet your contacts (DISCLAIMER: NOT REALLY).
It really is great stuff. I washed our extremely dirty 8 year old minivan yesterday which, other than the automated carwash "lemony wax" cycle, has NEVER been waxed. While I've been working here and there over the past 3 months to polish it out, it is still swirl city in some areas. I Hydro'd it and it looks FABULOUS. Just ordered my refill gallon today.

Heather - As a patiot and an American, what can I do to help make Epic into a trim loving wax like Hydro? Notice I'm asking not what my detail supplier can do for me, but rather what I can do for you!

JFK would be proud!
How about a 6-month internship at our chemists'?
Seriously though, we're always kicking that issue around... but as it stands, Epic still has advantages over Hydro. That which adds the extended durability also adds the trim issue. I'm still amazed by what our guys can come up with all the time, so don't lose hope! One day...
...although it would probably speed things up if you volunteered for that internship.
man..one of the reasons why i dont like forums..(syke..i still LOVE these forums..heh)
but everyone gets you sucked into buying stuff cause they say it's so great.
and then you say it's not really worth it..and then you keep reading more and more about it. and then end up getting it.
so in conclusion..i need to buy myself a 16oz. tester bottle.
I got an extra bottle of Clarity for the house. I gave it to my wife. She had JUST bought a new big bottle of Windex. I didn't pressure her (cause it doesn't work) - just told her it was great and she should try it sometime.
A couple of weeks later, I was cleaning the windows on the van with Clarity before we left on vacation. She says "That stuff is AWESOME. I used it on the bathroom mirrors and it immediately got everything off and didn't leave a haze like windex, which is NOT streak free..."... she's sold...
I took a bottle and a DP glass cloth on our roadtrip to Florida and back (about 1500 miles) last week. Used it to knock the unbelievable quantity of bug goo off the windshield at every fill-up. WAY better than the gas station scrubber/squeegie. Ah, clean glass...

Well you can say that about me too cause after trying Clarity, I'm very hooked on it too.
yay!!! ken got clarity!
i (we) knew you'd love it.
(i can't decide if i like Hydro or Clarity more, although Hydro has a more definite effect... it really makes the MINI look like it has been completely detailed).

Clarity & Hydro have to be a tie for fav's. I used Clarity to clean the glass on my printer at home. It's been over a week and still no haze. I luv it.

I gave my Clarity to my neighbor to try (who is so not a detailing geek) He cleaned his cars & house (using half my bottle ) & then told me to order him a gallon on the spot

Did your neighbor offer to buy another bottle for you?
He said when he got his gallon he would fill my bottle back up but I told him not to worry about it Funny thing, I tried to get my neighbor to go in halfsies on a gallon but he liked the Clarity so much he said uh uh he wanted a whole gallon for himself.
