How many microfiber towels does it take.....
I have never used a PC before but recently bought one and will be using it in the spring. I will be polishing my MINI in 2 separate steps, then putting on one coat of Z5 then 2 coats of Z2...so there's going to be 5 different wipe offs .....how many MF's will I need? this is in addition to the drying towel after I wash, plus claying
( I know this sounds like I am waiting for a punchline, but this really is a serious request for info)...I currently have 8 good quality MF's (4 monster fluffies and 2 thick Sonus and 2 thin Sonus) and 4 from target which I have used before and work fine....do I need more or will this be sufficient?

Yep, that should be enough. I used just one MF for the Zaino buff-outs between steps with no problems. There is little to wipe off if you put it on thin enough.
I keep enough microfibers on hand so that I don't have to wash an under-sized load when they need cleaned. So now I have 5 waffle weave drying towels, 10 Monster Fluffies, about 2 dozen cheap Target orange towels for trim and what-not, a couple of glass cleaning towels and 3 or 4 gray DP premium microfibers. I have a recycling bin that I toss the dirty towels in and when enough have accumulated - wash time. With this many towels I can set the water level to a large load so it is pretty efficient.

It all sounds good to me too.
My only question is whether or not you have a microfiber waffle-weave for drying. I think you meant in your post that you don't, but I'm not sure. If not, you can get away with just 1 (maaybe 2) on a MINI. Like MiniMaybee said, more is nice but 1 is fine too.
Otherwise, you're set and ready to go! Have fun!
