How do you clean your mitts and towels?

How do you clean your mitts, towels, chamois, etc., and how often do you do so? I throw all of my mitts and terry towels in the washer/dryer once a month or so (every two to three car washes) and the microfiber towels in a separate load at the same interval. I don't use any kind soap either, and was wondering if I should or not.

Wash your drying towels after every use; don't use dryer softener sheets. Wash microfiber separately from cotton towels - Griot's microfiber cleaner is excellent. Wash waxing cloths separately from polishing cloths, and for that matter, separately from cleaning cloths as well. Sounds like a hassle, but you don't want any cross-pollination, so to speak. Did I mention you should never use dryer softener sheets?
