Heads Up!

Stopped by Detailers Paradise today and bought more supplies. All should be aware that their special sale ends this week. What a great deal--you get a Monster Fluffy with any purchase. Nick and Heather will be closed the end of this week for inventory. If you procastinate, you will lose! I have enough Prima products at this point to open up a second store for them. Call me weak, I could not pass up this opportunity for another Monster Fluffy.

Met a new love, told her I detail my car with Prima, she asked if that product would work on her car. What could I say? Now I have two cars to detail, just means more Prima. Hope I don't burn out my PC.

Jake

your so lucky that you can just go to the store and get stuff. waiting for my stuff is so agonizingly hard, i wish that i could just order it then hit the eject button on my laptop and it would spit them out.

I don't know if it is all that great. I mean everytime I stop in there it cost me money and it is really easy to get to.

Yeah, but in exchange for all the money you're throwing at DP everytime you stop by you receive our undying love AND all that great product... the former of course being paramount to the latter!

I should mention that MiniMaybee has brought his kids and his wife into the store (on separate occasions even)... Most guy customers hide us from their wives and tell their kids, "Now don't tell mommy we were at this store today." MiniMaybee, you are in WAY deep! You have all the classic signs.

Heather, if you recall it was all under the pretext of "you gotta see these dogs at DP".
And it worked too! Oh I can be so sneeky...

A bump for the promo and a question - I tried to place an order before with the fluffy and a bunch of stuff in cart and all, but when I used the code I got an error that the code was no good; tried it a couple of times to no avail. I tried at about 6pm PST which should be okay, right? - "Offer expires at midnight on Thursday, January 25, 2007." Am I missing something obvious?

I did send a PM to them but I figure they are probably busy (and its on the late side) so I thought that maybe one of you DP pros might be able to help me.

actually... i think I remember...

you don't enter the coupon code in the coupon code area but in the comments area of the checkout. That's what I did... hopefully I won't be charged for it!

I believe DP is doing inventory for the next week so it would not surprise me if Heather is indisposed for awhile and does not respond. I am willing to bet however that if you placed an order and included the code in the comments, you will receive a free Monster Fluffy. I suspect if you instead added a MF to your cart you will get charged. I can speculate that a phone call after inventory is finished can correct this. Or if I'm wrong, you can look at this as a penalty for having procrastinated as long as you did - shame on you.

Welp, i had sent the PM but did not place the order, resubmitting all the info a few times after getting the error took a bit (i did not have an account yet and the error wiped it out oddly) and then I was busy the rest of the evening and just checked in to see if there was an update.
With hope they will have time to shoot me a pm and let me know...

And I wasn't procrastinating, just trying to figure out what I wanted and could budget, which was not easy 6pm was not last minute for me, 11:45 would have been more my style of waffling until the deadline

eVal I'm sorry, but I'm just not buying it.
Look if you are in the detailing forum you obviously care about the details of cleanliness and upkeep of your MINI. If you are in to the details of detailing then details are part of your nature. If details are what you are into then obviously you would have secured your order with days to spare instead of leaving it to the last minute where plans and intentions often go astray.
So based on the above line of reasoning and leaving all excuses on the side of the road, I think you were procrastinating.
Come on fess-up!
I'm sure Heather will sort all this out and all will be forgiven. But you did procrastinate.

^^ minimaybee... you're just rubbing it in because you can swing by there like it's the grocery store! <jk>

give me and eval a break!

can't speak for eval, but i am definitely a procrastinator... i totally waited to the last minute. maybe i was trying to be frugal... yeah, that's it!

if I don't get my free MF... so be it, but at least i tried!

lol, you haven't seen my car MiniMaybee, I wasn't looking into getting new products because it is all clean and I'm addicted to detailing - its more like the hope that getting some new stuff will inspire me to do it more Thus the line of reasoning is flawed

I won't argue that I can be a procrastinator, but in this case I really was simply trying to decide if I should spend the money on it right now (or just use what I have) and if so what to get - honestly I'm still not all that sure about it but the Prima stuff does sound very nice.

Sorry. I guess I was doing just that. I do tend to do things earlier rather than wait though. Heck, I've already filed my income tax for this year. I just can't stand deadlines.
I apologize for imposing my own timing issues on you and eVal.

Sorry everyone! My brain is really, truly fried now. I'm not kidding!! :impatient Here's my lame but true story: My PC completely crashed on me the other day. After waiting several days for a pro to pull off whatever could be salvaged, I have now been spending the majority of the past few days trying to restore my PC. My head has been enveloped by my restoration project. By the way, my PC contains the entire company on it so it's been a stressful time! Anyway, yesterday, in the middle of my PC restoration project, Nick asked me when to deactivate the coupon code and erroneously told him 3pm. We originally had decided on 3pm but then later decided midnight. I had forgotten that we changed it to midnight! So, Nick deactivated it at 3pm. Ooops!

I am really sorry for the frustration this has caused. I think I've PMd or emailed all who inquired about this, but please, if anyone else tried to use the code and could not, just let me know and we'll make sure you still get your free Monster Fluffy. My only request, please contact me or order by 3pm MST time today. Otherwise, we won't be able to ship your stuff until the week of Feb 5th! (see my other post about our inventory closure)

Sorry, sorry, sorry again! I feel like such a fool.

Thanks again for all your orders though! You guys are great customers and we really appreciate your business.

-Heather

Hey Heather, just saw PM and this reply in my email, so sorry to hear about your computer! I know exactly how awful it is to lose all the info, you have my sincere sympathy. In any case the mix-up is completely understandable, thank you for taking time to reply - I'll get the order together again shortly.

Good luck with the computer! Try not to stress too much (I know, easier said then done)
