Help with tire dressing

Hey guys,

I'm looking for some recommendations for tire dressing. It's getting to be rainy season here, where it will rain nearly every day til March. So I'd like something that is a good protectant but that will also last more than one rainstorm

Also, natural/low gloss preferred.

hummm... i was about to recommend the NXT tire shine but it's kinda
glossy until it's 'broken in' a few days. but it lasts about as long as
their Endurance thick sauce.

i use this NXT on all my cars now.... good stuff. very easy to apply
and lasts weeks, not days. its been raining almost everyday
here and it was still clean when i saw the tires this morning...been
almost 10 days now since the last app.

You really need to try the Wizard stuff at DP. I use it on my tires, my trim and the rubber seals around the doors. It really lasts and it cleans, protects and is not sticky. I used to use the Zaino tire/rubber product but the Wizards is so much better and it is much thicker too.

Oh and it is very unglossy

Chuck

Reaaaaallly. I just ordered some of that this evening for my trim (got a couple of wax spots), but didn't realize it's good on tires too. Nifty.

you're suppose to lightly spray the sidewall, not your armpits!

In my experience, Zaino Z-16 Perfect Tire Gloss is the best. Not too glossy, not messy silicone, and survives a day or two of rain.

My Trim Testing and products should really apply here, as they are similar. The zaino outlasted the others there too. (Like the trim dressing, a tire dressing should protect from UV and darken the material)

I have Forever Black's Tire Gel which I will be side-by-side testing as soon as I get a chance, supposedly lasts for months. If you want to be patient you can wait for the outcome of that test.

I too was a very big fan of the Z-16. Until the Wizard cast his spell.
Turned me into a newt.
I got better.

Still think you need to do round three and include a head-to-head with the Zaino and the Wizards.

wonder if Wizards shine can be in a spritz bottle.... is that stuff thick?
like a gel? Im tired of spreading peanut butter on bread in the morning
and then have to spread gel on my tires in the afternoon...

Wizards is about the same consistency as the Epic. I use the tire applicator so often discussed here. You could look for spray on peanut butter and save your spreading energy for something useful.

Edit: Wizards is probably a little less viscous than Epic come to think on it.

Here's a Wizards observation that I think I posted before - It tastes like soured milk and eel loaf.
How do I know this unwelcomed bit of trivia - Well I got a brand new bottle of the stuff from Heather and I'm going to put it on my MINI. Standing there holding the Wizards in one hand and applicator in the other, but I need to open the Wizards right? So being a male I use my teeth to lift the little flip top tab up and apparently released the internal pressure in the bottle. At least a full gallon of Wizards right in my mouth. Yum
Learn from others. Always have your wife use her teeth to open the bottle.

I can add it to the long list of things to try from DP.
I wish these places offered trial sizes of things. I hate spending $20 just to try something.

If you try it and don't like it, I can help you get it returned for a refund very easily. No risk and we aren't offended if you don't like our stuff!

I just got this stuff from Autopia. It sounds like exactly what you are looking for which was the same thing I was looking for but alas I haven't yet tried it so I can't vouch for it but it sure looks good on paper

I plan to try it out this weekend. Will let ya know how it works out.
