I many days past I had an Opel Manta with a flat black hood and trim. I don't recall what happened, but over time it started looking funky and I ended up having to wax it to even out the color--of course it was then no longer flat black, but rather glossy!
What is a nice way to clean/detail the flat black paint on my GP, that trims the bonnet scoop and tailgate? I figured with all of the new products out there, something might be appopriate. Thoughts?
Thanks much
I'd have to say the Opel was painted with a single stage paint that when oxidized could look Matte if not taken care of.
I'll wait for more info. LOL

The Manta had a black STICKER THAT COVERED THE HOOD. ( If you can believe that ). Anyway, it was certainly more 'flat' than the paint from the outset. I have always understood flat to mean dull, or primer-like. Matte probably is the same thing...
