No MINI Touch-Up Paint in California

Our local MINI of MountainView dealer told me that they do not have any touch-up paint. Something about California is currently stopping these from shipping into California because of something in the 'content' of the touch-up paint. Anyone run across this too ? And anyone in California find an alternate source ?

(I guess I could always order it from another non-California MINI place, but the shipping would probably be the same price as the touch-up paint itself. )

I hope their Chili Red matches better than their Electric Blue.

Oh, those wacky California politicians! I mean really.......are they afraid you *might* spill the contents onto the ground and create an environmental dissaster, or are stupid kids breathing the fumes???

Either way, a classic example of government over-reacting!

np. they have a pretty good color match. it really depends on
how well you apply it (spray or not) and also if metallic paint or not.

metallic paints are very hard to match no matter wat as the particles
need to be faced exactly the same way as the surrounding paint which
is nearly impossible to do.
