More Happiness with Prima!!!

Today I recieved the Prima Slick and Prima Hydra that I order a few days ago.

Prima Slick = AMAZING! I swore by the 3m Quick detailer, but the level of slickness this left the paint was unreal.

Prima Nero is just as awesome for detailing plastics. I really like the lack of shine it has, makes things look more "naturally new" instead of being shiny like amor all.

My only gripe: The sprayer heads. They are not nearly as good as the product they dispense. I'd pay extra if you offered a better sprayer head. Maybe I got some bum ones, but I really don't like the feel they offer. These probably work fine, but I am picky. YMMV.

Otherwise thank you detailers paradise for introducing these awesome products!

Sorry I spaced out when writing this! It was Nero not Hydra!

How does Hydra differ from Nero?

i like the sprayhead on the Nero. It doesn't drip even when shaken while
in the ON position.

I think that Hydro is Heather's wash & wax system. You spray it on after you wash the car and then spread it out while drying. I don't think it was meant to be specifically used on the trim. The Nero is their trim stuff.
+1 on the Slick
Last time I saw my MINI the Epic was still going strong. The dealer kidnapped my little MINI last Friday to repair a faulty airbag light. Now he won't let her go - says the new sensor is faulty too.
Don't tell anyone but I'm rodding the loaner MCSC they gave me .

I just used it on the loaner the dealer gave me. I really doubt it had a synthetic wax on it so it probably was a carnauba and it worked just fine. Cleaned it up and made it shine. It really got the bugs off well too. The loaner was a PS so not a dark colour but it did look good after I got done.

I'm thrilled to hear you like both Slick and Nero!

Please describe what you don't like about the sprayer heads... to tell you the truth, we've had a real extreme mix of reviews on the sprayers. Some love them more than anything and others say they're awful! We're trying to explore the negatives so maybe we can come up with something that appeases both preferences. Or, perhaps we'd offer a different one as an alternative or something. Please give me details. Thanks!

You speak the truth, MiniMaybee. Yes, Hydro is our wax-as-you-dry spray, aka super-concentrated spray wax. It's very durable for a spray wax. Although it is completely safe on trim, Nero is the specific vinyl/plastic product.

See... if I step away from my computer for a bit, so many of you can answer Prima questions for me! Thanks MiniMaybee.

Heather, if the product comes out thicker, I would suggest looking at the heads that spray on butter uses. ( I can't believe, ParK and such) I was reading this thread and that's the first thing to came to mind.

OK, back to reading....

Well, I guess if I had to describe it, they arent accurate. One press to another results in a different amount of spray. I realize that I am being beyond anal, worst case I will just swap the tops for a sprayer I like. But since I know you guys R+D'd the heck out of these, I figured I might as well give my complete and honest opinion.

If you ever try them, whoever makes the griot spray bottle sprays, to me those are perfect. It can spray a lot or a little and feel awesome...

+ 1 on both Nero and Slick. I'm a big Prima fan. I also got my first coat of Epic on over the weekend and it is SOOOOO wet and feels really slick. Rather amazing. I meant to take pictures but I went away for the weekend and now she's all dirty again Maybe tomorrow after a quick wash.

I really like a very fine mist sprayer. The ones that come on Griot's 8 ounce bottles are nice, but they are the push button type which is less ergonomic. If someone could find a sprayer that gives the same kind of must but with the trigger handle, I'd actually be willing to buy them seperately to put on my stuff. Adjustable sprayers are nice too.

for ultra fine mist, I just use a hair spray bottle i got from the
ContainerStore. you can get them at any Target too.

they work the best for me for applying speedshine. for
SprayOn wax though, i use the Griot's fine mist spray bottle
as i like to put an ample amount.

as far as Nero, just spray into a MF towel and apply.

Hmmm... I see what you mean but I'm puzzled. The sprays should really be consistant from spray to spray... I wonder if its just a wierd one or something. I'll PM you. Has anyone else had this problem from spray to spray? I haven't heard it before, but maybe no one has mentioned it!

When we tested upteen sprayer heads, our #1 goal was to find the one with the finest mist. We hope we achieved it, but are always testing new options. You never know when you might come across something better!

Thanks very much for your honest opinion! It's very much appreciated!

Thanks Kenchan for turning me on to Prima, everything I have tried has been top notch at a great price.

Heather, thank you for replacing the sprayer head, I think only one of them is bad, probably just a manufacturing defect. Doesn't change my thoughts of the product I still think its amazing.
