Pretty much... just make sure you rip of the tags sewn into the towels, and do not dry them in the dryer with dryer sheets. Just wash with detergent and then let dry or dry them in the dryer with no sheets.

The costco towels are good, but I don't think they are the same as Griots micro towel. The costco towels start to break down after a few washes, where the Griots seem to hold up forever.

If they are anything like the yellow MF's I bought at Sam's in large quantity, they are good, but not the same quality as the premium MF's I've bought from Griots and several other places. One of the biggest differences is more lint. I use the cheap MF's for general purpose tasks like dusting around the house, wiping door jams after washing, and when I don't want to get my good MF's stained up.

The Costco MF towels seem to vary in quality. I've purchased a couple bags within a period of three years, and the first bag was decent (every towel passed the CD scratch test), but the second bag of towels was inconsistent - about 2/3 of the towels passed the CD scratch test, while the remaining 1/3 managed to scratch the CD pretty badly. Better safe than sorry, so I've reglected the Costco MF towels to wheel/underbody cleaning/drying and shop rags.

If you do purchase the Costco MF towels, just remember to test them each individually (rather than just picking a few for a sample) for scratching, and be sure to cut off the tags.

I use them for general purpose stuff. But I leave buffing to the premium towels.

Is it possible to be mean to your toilet?

I don't know why you're having trouble with that - suppose-of-ly is a perfectly cromulent word.

That's a good test - I'll have to try that! Don't tell my MINI, but I haven't bought the 'good ones' yet. Any source preferred other than Griots? (I know, I should do a search.)

+1 means "I'm adding my agreement to your fine, fine post." It's just, you know, LESS WORK. As for the rest, well, you should get out (onto other forums) more.

MF is "monster fluffy" bro... (sigh).

That is a good test! Better to test on a CD than your MINI.

Most non-premium sourced MF is good for interior and wheel use. Save your good MF for your paint.

Here's a link to our Monster Fluffy, oft referenced on this forum, as well as our other premium buffing cloth, the Platinum... both are plush and have high thread counts. Safe and super effective.

Detailers Paradise Microfiber

Note that the Monster Fluffies are on sale until the end of this month!

Have fun! Oh, and a little disclaimer... once you try the Monster you can never go back!

Alright, Heather, you finally wore down this Griot's user.

Just ordered a set of 3 Monster Fluffy towels and a bottle of the Prima Epic sythetic wax (I'll see if it beats the NXT I've been using).

I've been happy with the Epic. Like Kenchan reported, just let it set for a day or two before putting on the second coat - it actually gets shinier and shinier over the first 24-48 hours.

Heather, why IS that?
