Garage flooring pattern opinions sought

Ok, I've been working on my garage floor pattern possibilities. I have way too much time to think about this .
So any opinions? Good, bad, whatever.
Depending on which brand I go with, I may have to do the big center area in beige. Mostly because only RaceDeck offers 2 different grays, plus black and white.
Annette
Option 1

Option 2

Option 3

Option 4-can leave off the center black dots.

Since you asked...

I prefer option #1, with some changes:
Checker all of the center field (the gray center doesn't help).
Maybe keep one row black outside, another row inside med gray all around.
Just for the heck of it accent with single red tiles at the corners.

It might help "us" to see a picture of your garage now (and after).

Definitely #1. If not, #4. Both are interesting whether or not there is a car/s covering part of the design. One thing I like about #1 is that the black edge looks good with a black base and this makes possible line of dirt caught at the floor/wall line less visible. Good for you, exploring the possibilities!

I'm willing to help out with your pattern picking problem. Pick the pattern you think that you like, send me the money, and I'll have it installed in my garage. You can then stop by and see how you like it!

I like #1 or #2 best but none of the choices are bad.

Annette - I would have to vote for #2 as well. Also I don't know if you considered this, but if you drop anything (screw, nut, popcorn) on the RaceDeck, wouldn't you have to pull the tile(s) to retrieve it?

Ok, here's a couple of quick shots of my garage. There are 2 separate doors, the open bay is where El Kabong usually is. The trailer will be suspended from the ceiling. The wall to the left shown in the last pic will be opened up so we can use the area under the stairs, so there will be a kind of triangle shaped indentation there.
All the junk that is on the floor between the vehicles should be stored in that new area.

The door in this wall leads to a 7'6" by 12'6" wide storage room that I am converting into a grill kitchen for my husband.

Nope, I'm going to put down the solid tiles. They do make a perforated one, but I'm not getting any of those.

Ok, here are 2 views of option 2 in the alternate color schemes (depending on who I order tiles from, the colors offered are slightly different).
I added a row of the gray to the top, this is the wall where I will have my workbench and a storage cabinet, so wanted to move the design away from the wall a bit.

Here's option 2 with a little more interest to the center area. It's starting to grow on me.

option 2a (?) looks sharp. #1 and #4 don't look good personally, i've been looking tiling my garage and the examples I've seen w/ a checkboard design all over don't look very good.

I'd vote none of the above. I started out my garage floor tiles with solid gray, but I really don't like the looks of the border lines when same color tiles border eachother. I think the checker pattern or a variation therof with alternating colors looks much better.

I'd advise getting a box or two of each color tile you plan on using and experimenting with different patterns on a small scale. Things will look differently laid out on your floor than on a planning grid.

#2 in the first post works for me

FYI Mark has a voting format you can use for something like this. I've never tried it, but it looked cool. Wasn't sure if you were aware of it
