Quick Claybar question

I'm a first-timer... what do you store your claybar in?

It should come with a plastic container of some sort. If not, pick up a plastic container - maybe 8 or 12 oz size, with a screw on lid. Works great.

I do both of the above... I keep my clay in a ziplock in the plastic container with a squirt or two of whatever lube I use with the claybar.

If you drop a bit of clay, throw it away. BradB (one of our resident detailing gurus) suggests cutting each bar into 5-6 strips and using these smaller pieces of clay to detail with. That way, if you drop one, the cheapskate in you won't be tempted to rinse it off and keep using it.

I keep my good clay separate from used clay, which I reserve for mid-season cleanings of my windows.

I coat the claybar lump with lube, wrap it in saran wrap, then put it in a ziplock bag!

Key is to not let it dry out or let air get to it.

it's the same container that the griots clay comes in...just a
tad smaller.
