Just used the Zymol products I bought in February for the first time. Michigan was 55 degrees today, so I washed, cleaned and waxed today.

First, let me tell you that I'd never used a "quality" wax product before. Off the shelf stuff from the local store. But, my Mini deserves better and so I went with Zymol.

Washing went well with their brand of wash. The first surprise, though, was their "HD Cleanser". They recommend using it twice a year to take of oxidized paint, grime, old waxes, etc. I used it today, and my first impression is that it works great. My Mini is only 3 months old, but you could feel the smoothness of the paint to the touch after cleansing. Lots of stuff taken off, and after the winter we had with salt, etc., I'm glad I did it.

I've always dreaded waxing, but applying the Zmol wax was easy. Went on easily, and buffed out easily. My wife even waxed her car. Smell great, too. Car had a noticable shine after one coat. I may wax again tomorrow to add some shine and seal.

All in all, very impressed with the first use. It's not cheap, but it worked as advertised.

i have been using zymol since 1998. i have been very happy with it. the best test is to observe the shine after washing your car after a couple of weeks. when a great shine is observed after a routine wash and dry, the wax is doing its job!

Zymol....

Monday morning, March 13, 2006
Good morning,

Just read your posts, and also just happened to be looking over a magazine I have, British Car, from February 1992. One of the articles in it is entitled, Wax Off!. I scanned the last page which has the conclusions. It is interesting. Also, in that same issue there is an article about a face off between the Bugeye Sprite and the Mini, at the Willow Springs track, June 22-23, 1991 - the Mini won. Kind of nice to be part of a long line of enthusiasts, and to still be enthuriastic!
Regards,

Joe Tiemann (Reinheim)
