Hey there, I'm trying to get El Kabong ready for the Dragon. I put 2 coats of Zaino on yesterday. The first one around 3pm and the second around midnight. I'm going to mix up another bottle today and was planning on doing 2 more coats. It says no more than 3 coats in 24hours, but I'm wondering if I can do coats 3 and 4 since coats 1 and 2 will have had 12+ hours to cure.
The main reason for doing 2 more coats is that when I mix up a full bottle it does 2 coats. I've never been able to guess the right amount for 1 coat and hate to throw away the unused stuff.

How thick are you putting it on? I use 1/4th of the little vial bottles with about 4 drops of the ZFX and get 3 coats out of that.
i agree.....and the three coats can be put on at 1/2 hour intervals using z6 inbetween coats.....after all 3 coats have been done z6 or z8 and it will be beatiful assuming you are doing the zfx with z2 pro......remember to use zaino in small amounts....best results.....
I usually end up making a little under 2oz with the ZFX. I always get 2 coats and am putting it on pretty thin. I'm probably over doing somewhat since I have a really hard time seeing on the PW where it is and where it isn't. It's much easier to do my Red PT Cruiser, which I can get done in about 1/2 the time. I don't normally leave it on very long, but had to run errands yesterday so put on a coat at 3pm, then had to run out the door and didn't get home until about 830p, buffed that coat off then made dinner, fed dogs and chickens, got the 9yo ready for bed then put on the second coat, then did the dinner dishes, started some laundry so by the time I got around to buffing off the second coat it was after midnight. Just one of those days.

Spritz your applicator with Z6. Zaino should be applied so thin you can easily lose your place on where you have been if you don't work systematically. Misting the applicator very lightly with Z6 as you go helps you see where you've been because the wet shows up more than the super-thin polish coat. Leaving it on the car longer than 30 minutes isn't bad--it actually helps. However, the unused mix only has a shelf-life of around 6 hours, meaning you need to time it pretty well.
What is Zaino? Is it a wax/polish, a sealant, or other type of treatment? I haven't spent any time on the detailing forum previously, but will start to learn more here.

Zaino is a religion.
I tried it once about two years ago and was an instant convert. Last year I was moved to share the truth with my parents:

I get 3 full coats out of 1 oz (and I still think I'm over-doing it). The easiest way to apply very thin coats is to spritz your applicator pad with Z6 quick detailer before adding the Z2 to the pad.....it works like a dream.
