Post road trip cleanup

So it has been below freezing for quite some time now and I just did a 14 hour round trip road trip... For cleaning the the salt off are the pressure sprayer (wands?) system the best for cleaning off the grunge? My condo maintenance people have already stowed and shut off the outside water sources so I don't have the option of doing it at home.

Barely a week old but man she needs a hot bubble bath.

In a pinch you can use the wands, but spray at an angle, not directly at the paint.

Those wands usually "leak" a little before you stuff your money in. I use this to pre-wet the car and then use a mitt I bring along to carefully loosen the worst dirt. Rinse OFTEN. I also carry a squirt bottle of my favorite auto shampoo pre-diluted in water. I spot spray this on as I use the mitt and as I blast off with the sprayer. Never use the soap that "they" supply. That stuff will eat through your wax!

I carry an Absorber and a Waffleweave microfiber to try to dry the car as best as possible. Put the heat and defrosters on full blast!

Winter sucks, eh!

Yah, winter does suck! Thankfully it snowed while I was visiting friends and much of the first layers of dirt came off with the melting snow. Tomorrow I get to remove the rest from the return trip yay!

That's the secret I learned last year. My local one leaves them running, sometimes at a pretty high rate (find the bay with the highest flow), so the hoses etc do not freeze up in the winter. Pre-soak everything for a few minutes and it will make things much easier to remove once you put your tokens in.
