quick car wash???

If I were to need a quick quick quick car wash, just to get the dust off the dirt....is it okay to take my MINI Cooper Convertible through a touchless car wash (absolutely no brushes) like the ones at gas stations???? I don't want to hurt the top. This is the first convertible I have ever owned. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks!
~PJ

Get one of those California Dusters to quickly remove a thin layer of dust. . .

I'd be very afraid to take a convertible through any automatic carwash, even a touchless one. . .

And why would you want to remove the dust off of the dirt. If you are going to have it washed, remove both the dust and the dirt. Your car would look much better.

I run my car through the touchless wash down at the Mobil station during the winter here in Michigan. I use this to get the salt off of the car between "proper" washings. I have never had any problems caused by this. Sure I would prefer to hand wash it, but sometimes that just isn't practical given temperatures, the early onset of evening, my schedule, etc. I figure it's better to do this and get the salt and other gunk off quickly as opposed to waiting to hand wash it.

Okay so I'm at work and got distracted while typing this. Stupid work gets in the way of my motoring. LOL What I MEANT to type was "remove the dust and dirt off my MINI...."

Well, this morning I took it through a completely touchless car wash but it made me too nervous with the soft top so I don't think I will do that again. I'm paranoid about ruining the convertible top.
