New Convert

I am very happy to report some good news. A long time friend has been admiring my car and finally this morning I was able to convert yet another detailer.

I gave mim a copy of Agranger's instructions on detailing and offered up my help in getting my friend started. I feel great.

Ha ha! Congrats! I know what you mean. My father just purchased a brand new Chevy HHR. It's a surprisingly nice car, but it's black. I warned him of the perils of black cars. He wouldn't hear of it, though. It does look nice when clean. So anyway, once it arrived, he sort of hesitantly asked me - OK, what do I have to do to wash and wax this thing the "right" way. I sent him all the links and tips I could find. About a week and $150 later he was loaded down with Zaino and some microfibre towels - ready to go. I checked up on him last time I saw him - the car was clean and the paint had that nice, glossy, smooth-to-the-touch feel. I was so proud of him!

One day, I'm gonna walk into my neighbor's garage and find a copy of those instructions in there...

I officiated at a friend's first full-MINI immersion yesterday.

He snuck on an extra coat when I was called away to other duties, and kept staring deeply into the hood of his 2002 BRG MINI when I returned to pick up the sacramental 100% cotton fluffy clean white U.S. made towels with the labels removed.

I think Sal has another lifer.
