I think you can also get it at BMW dealerships. Either that or Porsche... I can't remember.

I used to get it at Autopia, but they discontinued the line.

The product is listed in their catalog, but when the service manager searched the computer he could not find any listed in stock.

Thanks anyway.

I'm assuming that you are proactively wanting to treat your door and other random weather seals. If you are unable to secure this very cool product (It comes in an old-fashioned shoe polish applicator... very handy), I would suggest:

1) Use a damp microfiber cloth to clean the rubber door seals. Maybe use a spritz or two of 303 Aerospace Cleaner if there is some stubborn greasey stuff on there.

2) Spray a fair amount of a good quality rubber protectant (Meguiars 40, 303 Aerospace Protectant, Vinylex, Zaino Rubber Treatment) on a clean towel and apply to the seals, leaving all the doors, hatch, bonnet and bits open for things to dry.

3) Shake some talc or baby powder on a clean, dry cloth and apply to the seals to reduce wear due to friction.

Thank you for your response. I found 303 Aerospace Protectant was able to follow the above advice. Everything is as new now.

I have another question for you. How often dou you usually treat all the rubber seals etc.?

Excellent, a new source for window cleaner.
Einzett discontinued exporting to the U.S. several months ago so no one carried it anymore. I wonder how drivewerks is getting it?

It's probably left-over stock... Autopia put all of that line on clearance and once the announcement made it out to the car forums, all of us car nuts cleaned them out very quickly. I tried to order several of my favorite items to put on the shelf for future use and missed every one of them.

I retreat my seals once a year in the spring.

Just an FYI...BMW "motorcycle" dealers carry Gummipflege. (rubber care) But it's not labeled as 1Z, so not sure who makes it. I used to buy it there long before I got the 1Z. Not sure who came first.
