NEED HELP! removing badge glue

can someone help me? i picked up my mc from the dealership 2 weeks ago and it looks like when the put the badges on they went a little crazy with the glue and now theres yellow crude all over my boot by the mini emblem. i would take it back but i have no time to wait at the dealer for god knows how many hours so im deciding to take it off myself. anyone have any suggestions on what to use? i know NOT to use goo goon because it will strip the clear coat...thanks!

Simple Green, cover it with black trash bag and leave it in the sun for a few hours. Keep it good and saturated. I've had great results removing window tint with this method.

After that it should have turned to a soft goo and you can wipe or wash it off... Don't be tempted to scrape it or use anything harsh!

Go gone will not strip the clear coat, it is only citrus oil. IT will remove any wax you have, but so will just about any other cleaner. Also, the yellow goop is something that has been on lots of cars here and is something they use when shipping to keep the finish protected.
