Watch out for the birds

Got a Nasty suprise on Saturday morning

I noticed a bird had left a message about the size of a Quarter on the Bonnet , so got out the QD and after soaking with water and a touch of Shampoo went and tried to eraze the message . The white stuff came off no problem but left behind a slightly raised bump of dark brown gooey crap about the size of a dime . I tried to remove this with my fingernail and to my horror off came the clearcoat. It came off better and easier than using paint stripper .

Now Bruiser has to go to the paint shop to get fixed up .

Heads up Guys and Gals the bird crap was not on the paintwork for any real length of time , but was dryed and this was the result . So Remove A.S.A.P
note::Pictures Taken in the carport . I hope I get such a reflection of the light fitting on Bruisers return from the Doc.

Wow! Not good. I'm sorry for your loss.

May I ask if you had waxed or sealed before the incident? How recently? What products?

Not really good at all , Bruiser goes in on the 14th and has lightened the wallet by $350-400 ,I decided to have all the little stone chips etc. taken care of as well , all at once.

Bruiser will have been in my care from new , coming up for 1 year on the
16th July it has 19,000 to date (heavy huh ) (good Motoring though ).
I went with the Klasse twins with a topper of p21s . I have only ever done 1 coat of the twins but re-plenish the p21s every 2 to 3 months on average . It is my daily driver and now is kept under a carport , where as the first 6 months it was in the open . Its washed every week rain or shine and is given a once over with the Sonus Carnuba QD after every wash . The last time it was waxed was a little over 3 weeks after the Dragon. It is due to be DAWNED /Light Swirls removed / CLAYED / Re-sealed /Waxed at the 1 year mark ,but may have to hold back a little after the Bonnet re-spray etc.

Little bells are going off !!! Enough Protection ??????? Maybe not, HuH ?,but who can really say . I will be putting slightly more wax coats on this coming year just to make sure .Or jump ship on over to the Zaino camp . .
Anyone want to buy some open Klasse. .
