Just curious what kind of windshield fluid comes with the car.
I remember seeing some foam when sprayed but the new stuff I bought does not have any foam in it.
any recommendations for a good windshield washer fluid?
What came in mine from the factory had a very strong medicinal smell. What I use now is either the blue or orange stuff you buy almost anywhere. Here in New England I just make sure that it is good for -20F temperatures. Use it straight from the bottle, cheap and easy, it works just as well as the factory stuff.
You can buy the factory stuff in a concentrate form from the dealer.
I use the BMW factory washer fluid, it has loads of alcohol, to help cut bugs and the like, and I also add a half bottle of Rain-X windshield washer additive to it, which helps rain bead off, and helps work in conjunction with my PIAA super silicone wiper blades.
For all of you that have the headlight sprayers, you should buy a bottle of their special BMW factory "Intensive" washer fluid, designed to work better for the headlight sprayers.
I use RainX bug fluid....it works well. Better then the generic stuff I bought for my long road trip.... found a Walmart and switched back... I noticed a difference.

In the winter I use Rain-X teflon winter fluid, costs a little more, but works great at getting ice off, and does not fog over.
In the summer I use the cheapest brand of bug remover fluid I can find, as I have to use so much of the stuff. Have to fill up at least once a week around here.
I use the Rain-X winter formula all year round. At the rain soaked MOT 2005 event this past week-end, my service advisor commented on the better visability even in the heavy rain.
