Best way to get to a show

Okay, question....
I need to get to a show, but want to keep the ole ride in best shape... since I have to drive and don't want to super detail it when I get there.

When I was grouped up with the VW guys some of them used plastic wrap on the front end on their way to the shows.

Anyone have any experience or ideas?

Thanks
SoCar S

..you mean besides an enclosed trailer?

as for the plastic wrap idea - you'd want to do it to the rear-end of the MINI due to the suction from the hatchback aero.

How about going to the show in reverse

Ive used what is called paper or painters tape NOT duct tape several times when driving to shows. It works fine and comes off with no left over residue. I use the same thing at the track. It isnt pretty but it keeps the front end fine. Just do a nice wash and detail the night before you drive there and then you only have to clean the wheels and tires , do a little engine clean up and use some sort of spray cleaner , i use meguires quick detail . Bring along a duster as there will be a need it about every other hour or so and it really shows under the lights. Good luck and bring home the gold ( plastic )

If you wash and prep the day before then you can take care of most anything with just a set of microfibers and quick detailer during show day. I MF the whole car. Everything. Seperate towels for paint, wheels, glass, etc. I also take rubber dressing for trim and tires. Glass cleaner for last minute streaks. Tape for pulling up lint and debris off the carpets. Be ready BEFORE you show upo at the event! Good luck!

when i go to shows, I use 3M Scotch #2090. It goes on easy, and comes off easy too. No residue at all...

You can get it at Wal-Mart for a couple bucks...

just an idea of waht it looks like. Not my car but you get the idea
