Hydro question

I read the stickies on detailing and they all see to speak really highly of hydro. This is good accept the posts are from 2007 and when I do a search for hydro and the like I get almost nothing back in terms of reviews. Almost as if it doesn't really exist. So my question is, is hydro still high recommended or is there something else out there now that I should be looking at...? This is my first wash of my 2014 Paceman S.

Prima hydro spray wax is still available some places, like autogeek. They even have a newer formula called hydro-max. It's pricey. What wax/sealant are you using? You might want to stay in the same brand with your maintenance spray wax. Else a couple of options are Meguiars Ultimate Quik Wax or Duragloss Aqua Wax.

I ordered ordered both from Autogeek. I'll post results after first use.

I used to use Hydro after every wash. It was great! ShowCarSupplies.com still stocks it and the new Max version. I still would use it, but last year I had my car detailed with C Quartz ceramic coating and the detailer recommended just a quarterly application of a paint sealant so I've left Hydro behind for now.

Hydro is probably the best known (and I think best product) in the Prima lineup.

Prima isn't a bad line to use. I just like some other companies' products for various things. Hydro is great for maintenance waxing but I think you would want something longer lasting on the car for the most part. Prima's sealant is called Epic. Personally I like Blackfire Wet Diamond sealant and Chemical Guys Jetseal. Another really easy to use (but shorter lasting) option is Optimum Opti Seal. It's a wipe on and walk away product.

Good luck in whatever you choose and have fun!
