Touch up

Paint touch up is fairly easy, but how do you go about touching up the bonnet stripes? Is there a vinyl repair kit? Or just use a little black touch up paint? I've got a few dings from road grit in my stripes that I want to clean up before a local car show.

I wouldn't use paint. You might check with a local sign shop. They'll probably just give you a scrap of similar vinyl material which you can cut out and patch the stripes with.

One of these days when they get ratty enough, you'll just have to replace the stripes!

Edit: You can also look in hobby shops -- they sell self adhesive vinyl trim material in various colors for model cars/boats/planes...

My dream is to get the bonnet stripes painted on. Get rid of the vinyl stuff. I know it will cost me, but that's probably my next major purchase.
