Hey guys, just wondering what I am doing wrong. I've been noticing lately that after I wiped down my car with Meguiars mist & wipe quick detailer, I get smudges(Only noticeable at an angle in the sunlight). I'm thinking it's the wax that smearing, but I'm not sure. Been using Meguiars NXT. Any thoughts on this guys??

Not to bash Meguiar's, but their Quick Detailer is the absolute worst quick detailer ever! On the contrary, Meguiar's Professional line Final Inspection is among my favorites for perfect finishing sprays. Just goes to show that even within the same brand, you can't take anything for granted. My other two favorite quick detailers are Zaino Z-6 and Wizards Mist-n-Shine, though I must admit I use the Final Inspection the most often, as it comes off the quickest and cleanest in all temps and sun intensities.
I've noticed the same thing lately. I wonder if it has to do with the humidity or air temperature. I usually detail in the morning when its a bit cooler and don't have a problem. However, I had this problem a week or so ago when I was quick detailing before going out for the evening.
This is what I do with QD - I don't even know how I came up with this idea.
I use two microfiber cloths - one for applying the QD, and the other for polishing it off. And I don't spray the QD right onto the paint surface. I spray the QD onto the first cloth, apply it to the surface with that cloth, then polish it off with the second one.
I found that using the same cloth for both steps left too much QD on the surface. Once a cloth has absorbed enough QD from applying, it really doesn't take it back off like a fresher cloth does.
