Those would be called swirl marks . I have read from forums that the 3M SMR (swirl mark remover) have the best results. I am about to try Zainos SMR on my Toyota 4runner this friday when I have no school. Make sure you prep your car correctly wash, clay, etc. Goodluck!

There are many compounds or abrasive products for removing swirls. I have practically all of them. 3M products are the best. They manufacture their own abrasives and are the highest quality, most consistent, compounds.
3M Swirl Mark Remover comes in two varieties, formulated for Light and Dark paint. The only difference is the fillers are pigmented differently. The results are best, and faster, when done with a random orbital buffer and a white pad but can be done with a pure foam (not terry covered) pad and back and forth only hand motions. Use a microfiber towel to polish off.
For deeper scratches and swirls precede this step with 3M Finesse It II compound and the same instructions. It's a slighly coarser abrasive.
These two products are a staple in my garage and can take care of MOST of your paint damage problems you will ever encounter.
If you have a dark colored car a paint cleanser like Pinnacle or P21S as a final buffing step will bring the shine to a final brilliance.
