What is the best wheel protectant?

I'm trying to find the best wheel protectant for my wheels? I've seen wheel wax, poorboy's wheel sealant, it seems like everybody and their mother make something to protect wheels. I ran across this product ( http://www.nanoemporium.com/index.ph...FYlM2god92Ripg) and I found it to be quite interesting. Has anybody tried this nanosafeguard sealant? Anyway, brake dust is the culprit. I'm not really worried about everyday dirt and stuff. I'd like to hear what everybody thinks. Thank you

* I also posted this in the wheel and tire forum, I hope that's not a no no

I have been using American Wheel Wax and love it. My other cars, I always had to use special cleaners, none of which worked as well as I hoped. The best was Bugs B Gone, by Sea Foam, great for getting the bugs off the front end and brake dust off the wheels, too.
With the Wheel Wax on my stock Spooler rims, all it takes is regular car wash soap and a quick rinse. Done! In a pinch, when the rest of the car is relatively clean and the wheels are atrocious looking a quick rinse with the garden hose gets them looking acceptable. Apologies to those of you who spend more time cleaning their MINI than driving it.

Very happy with Wheel Armor, from Detailers Paradise. Cleans, protects, and makes washing very easy.

I'm impressed, Wheel Armour sure looks like it works great How often do you need to reapply it?

I have a coat of RejeX on my wheels. A friend of mine has a BMW 5-Series and he found out about it on one of the BMW forums. He has also used it on the paint. Two weeks after the application, I washed the car and whatever brake dust that didn't come out from the spray was easily wiped off and they had the original shine. So far, so good...

I use the Wheel Armour as well. Apply it every time I rotate the tires (5,000 miles) inside and outside. In between, during regular washings, I use Meguiar's All Wheel Cleaner to help knock off the dust/nastiness and every now and then a bit of Hydro if I want to get a bit of shine.

For everyday use, try a small car duster. I have an 09 JCW and it fits all the nooks and crannies just fine. You can let it go for a week and it takes it off in one pass. Takes about 15-30 seconds per wheel, keeps them looking like you washed them so you can go much longer between washings. I have tried using wax along with this system and it doesn't seem to improve anything.

When you do wash try some Home Depot driveway degreaser cut way down, maybe 20 or 30:1. I have used Baer and also Zep. It costs about 11.99 a gallon and a gallon if you wash every weekend would probably last a few years. Cut down it is still strong, don't let it dry, rinse really good. Ive used it on painted and polished since 1995 with no discoloration. Checking out the other posts it easily works as good as the photos I have seen without the fancy pre-coatings and I bet it costs a lot less.

Griot's sells wheel cleaners approved by BBS. Id use that instead if I had to use anything more than car shampoo.
