RainX on a rain sensor windshield

Are you folks using RainX (or similar product) on a rain sensor windshield?

I ask because the owners manual for my Mazda3 specifically states to not use rain-repellent products on the glass because it could change the reflective properties of the glass and mess with the sensor. So i've never tried it, i just RainX all the rest of my glass.

Does the MINI manual mention anything about this?

thx!

I don't use RainX, I use Aquapel....but it's similar and I've never had a problem with it messing with the sensor.

Now, RainX can dissolve the ink used on some stickers that various agencies make up apply to the windshield.

I know, off topic, but thought I'd throw it in.
