Howdy. I have used a lot of the information gleaned from this website on my 2006 JCW very successfully. I am having a problem with my wife's Subaru. It was purchased as a rental return from a dealer. It seems there was some water damage to the upholstery and water marks keep reappearing. We have tried upholstery cleaner to no avail. The marks were not visible when we purchased the car a couple of years ago, but are quite prominent now. They seem to be dark lines over the light tan fabric, especially in the back seat. Is there a detailing solution, or should we just go with seat covers. We can't afford another car at this point.
Might look for a local detailer with a commercial hot water extractor (not a Bissel Little Green Machine) to help you with that...it's just a large shop vac with a heated water tank that sprays water and sucks it up without using solution. That MIGHT help if traditional cleaners aren't effective.

Or you can try my getto DIY way. Mix up some Oxi-solve in some warm water and apply it to the seat and use a strong Shop vac to suck up the stain rings. Do not use soap will clean the ring of dirt but will dry sticky so the new dirt will just stick to it again.
I use Oxi-solve only in my home carpets and they look great. P.S. My wife uses RainX on all our shower glass and tile. Easy cleaning, just do not use it on the floor or bottom of a tub/shower.
