Detailer's Domain: 3M PPF on a 535

Tom and Dan working on a 535 last weekend.

The car was brand new and believe it or not no dealer installed swirls.

The customer requested a pre cut kit.

Looks nice! I need to get some parts of mine redone - after 3 years, some of the edges just will not come perfectly clean and on PW it's bothering me.

3-5 years is what we tell customers. its either going to yellow or haze

Yeah the yellowing is not a problem, and it buffs clear with the PC and some Swirl. But the edges begin to collect dirt after a few years, and on PW it's very obvious. Someone told me it *may* be able to be trimmed rather than replaced, which would be okay.

it could be trimmed back but make sure the installer has a steady hand you don't want the installer to cut the paint.
