Muffler Pans

Does anybody have experience cleaning the muffler pans on a MCS? I tried Eagle One NeverDull without much success.

is that the battery cover you are talking about? or the muffler can?

Muffler Pans

Thanks for the reply; I'm referring to the bare metal (stamped aluminum? steel?) mufflers (at rear corners of the car), but not the chrome exhaust tips at center of car. I called them "pans" because that's what they look like (not knowing any better )

I've heard of wenol and griot's elsewhere in this forum. I'll probably give those a try.

Thanks again...

I see. Another thing is maybe spray them matte black using duplicolor engine paint and just hide them completely.

I know some recent BMW's are using those Saturn looking muffler cans and they're not the best looking.

BMW and others...

You're right, they are not the most aesthetic feature of the Mini (even less so when they are dirty).
