this might be a dumb question, but im guessing that the black roof is a painted black so i would wax it too. (?)
must be a pita to not get any wax on the trim around the side and rear of the roof.
im planning on doing some spot claybar this week and a good waxing.

Yes for all roofs and mirrors, you can wax them like the rest of the MINI. It makes a difference and the roof gets lots of beating from the sun and elements so it needs the wax.

Yes, it is always better to be a little careful putting the wax on than to try to remove it later from areas of vinyl that are now turning white from the dried wax.

Good for you. Your MINI will be happy you did.

thanks for the info. im planning on waxing the roof tomorrow and the mirrors
as well. i claybared the rear today and dang, the dealer left a lot of gunk. also
scratchXed the area with some swirls from the car wash the dealer did. terrible.
but now it finally looks brand new, at least the rear-end.
gonna work on the front fender areas and sides to rid the swirls the dealer
left behind.
