Do I need Epic/Banana Gloss if I use Hydro?

seems some people here only hydro, and then it seems others use hydro as a more frequent lighter wax and then use Epic or BG every 2-4 months for a heavier wax.

do i need to do the Epic/BG wax once in a while, or is hydro-alone good enough?

The short answer is "No".

The long answer is "Yes".

Short form of long answer;
Epic will give you 6+ months of protection. Using Hydro when you wash will give you even longer protection from Epic.

Slightly longer answer;

Banana Gloss will add even more time to the Epic, it lasts 4-6 weeks, and it looks great

I think the more important thing to know is how often you wash. If you wash often enough (at least every two weeks), then just Hydro is fine. But if you go longer than that between washes, then you definitely want something else (either Epic or Banana Gloss) underneath it.

Personally, I Epic twice a year, Banana Gloss once a month, and then Hydro with my weekly washes.

Protection wise, I think you're fine. It's funny how it works though. You wash and Hydro and your car looks incredible. Then you buy some banana gloss because its easy and your car looks even better, somehow. Then you buy a polisher, some swirl and amigo and epic and think oh my gosh now that is what this car should have looked like new. Then back to just hydro because your neighbours think you're losing it and you've blown your wad and don't have any money left for mods

Forget what the neighbors think For those that polish/Amigo/Epic once or twice a year, those products are going to last for a few years, so you might as well use them. The money spent on those products give you very high returns on the investment

i wash my dd in the rain... thus the stronger PaintSealant is the way to go.

i 'hand wash' my dd once every saturday if it's nice outside, but i tend to forget washing dd's these days. so paintsealant + hydro is the way to go for most lazy folks, i thinks.
