OK, I tried something. The bottle of Zaino tire dressing says it's safe to use on rubber (of course) and also on plastic (as in trim). So I did just that. I did the black plastic trim with it. Too shiny (glossy) and attracted too much dust. Bummer. I'm going back to Armor All (I know, horror of horrors). All I can say is the Armor All is the best stuff I've found yet for the black trim. It's not overly shiny/glossy looking as one might expect.

Thanks for the tips. Actually my wife (thinking she was doing something special for me and my car) came home one day from Costco with a costco size set of Armor-All spray bottles. I've got lot's of bottles left and I've found something good that it works on. BTW, I've also tried the Stoners Trim Protectant aerosol can. That seems to leave the same luster/shine as does Armor All.

BTW, 303 seems very overpriced to me. I'd love to try it, but just can't spend that type of cash for such small amounts.

303 seems to be a jack of all trades type of solution. Does this effectively clean the trim or simply provide UV protection? Is this applied after a Zaino job on the black trim?

ok, you need to start over from scratch. Peanut butter/oil your black plastic, and then do a nice coat of 303 Aerospace. You're done!

303 is the best plastic protector I have ever used. I love it for the dash, interior trim and mostly for the black trim pieces on the outside of the car. It is well worth the $. I have washed my car at least a dozen times and am not even halfway into one bottle.

I recommend "Black Magic" or "Back to Black" by Eagle One for the tires and trim.

I've used Mother's Back to Black on the trim. It seemed to attract way too much dust.

Since I live in PHX, dust is a very big concern, so that's why I like Zaino Z6 on the body since it appears to repel (or is it just less staticy) more dust than anything else I've had on the car. Someone recommended using Zaino Z2 on the trim (or was that Zaino Z6?).

But anyhow, I have way too much Armor All left (thanks ot the wife trying to be helpful) and don't have the heart to trade in a kidney for a bottle of that 303 stuff.

Interesting that you found the Zaino tire dressing too glossy--I've always thought that of every other product I'd used UNTIL the Zaino. Did you perhaps use too much? I get a nice satiny deep black finish that just looks clean, but I use it SUPER sparingly.

On the rubber tires, the Zaino dressing looks awesome.
