Washing the MINI

Well, it stopped raining yesterday in Cali and it is supposed to be dry for the next week or so. So I felt like washing the car. I also decided to be an uber dork and record it, edit it, and put it on youtube

Nice wash job.
What did you do to treat the front grills and back "waffle"? No matter how I scrub or power wash, they remain dirty looking.

Honestly...um...nothing , every once in a while I'll take a rag a actually clean out each of the slots in the upper grill. But on a normal wash, I just wash it with the soap, and dry it off.

I've found that Adam's In & Out Spray is the best thing for the rear "vents," the hood vents and the front lower grille. It's an aerosol trim detailer. After the car is dry, spray it on, wipe the overspray off your paint and you're good to go. It doesn't last a long time, but it's simple to apply.

Now I know...

...what the neighbors witness in my driveway at least once a week. Thanks for recording the process the only difference is the color of our cars. Everything else is the same. I enjoyed watching your movie.

glad you guys enjoy it . Scary thing is that since I sped it up so much, you can't tell that I got different towels/mitts for the wheels. But don't worry, if I'm enough of a nut to record it in the first place, I definitely have purposed towels.

That's pretty sad . . . I just spent 8 minutes of my life watching someone else wash his car.
