What are the mirror caps made of? Are they metal, should I wax them?

Thanks!

They are a composite (plastic) just like the bumpers, so wax them to make them easier to clean.

Otherwise you may find the bug DNA difficult to clean off!

One more question, what about the front black "plastic" pillar parts? Are those waxable also?

That requires me to be able to tell whether it's painted or not...thus the original mirror cap question. Z2 can also be used on the windows...so go figure.
