My IB has developed a weird condition I thought some of you may have an opinion about. I'm new to detailing so it might be a simple mistake I'm making. I'm getting darkened blotches in the creases of my MINI's bonnet. They usually show up in the low spots between the headlight cowling and the main bonnet surface. I also notice it about 1/4" around the windshield washers and sometimes around the bonnet MINI insignia, Its as if these areas are retaining moisture somehow. Occasionally these patches clear up, but if it's just rained, or I've been to the car wash, or if I've used some quick detailer, these patches tend to show up. Any ideas??? Thanks!

woah strange

I know Indi blue is a moody, dynamic color, but mine never morphed!
What kind of products are you using?

Build date? Maybe the MINI is going through puberty, and we all know how that was!

Don't use anything harsh on it to clean it.
try Mother's claybar a little and see if that helps.
If not then report it as a flaw to your dealership detailer and see
what they say. Let us know what happens.
