Epic after 6 weeks
So i picked up a porter cable random orbital buffer and the entire package of detailing goodies from Detailer's Paradise.. clayed the car, used Swirl, Amigo, Finish and Epic...
That was 6 weeks ago and the car still looks phenomenal... Epic really lasts a long time even though we have been bombarded with rain for the last 6 weeks, the water beads and rolls right off...
I also did my wife's car (also red) and same thing with her car...
Just wanted to express my satisfaction with the products and a true testament to their durability and value... You may pay more for it but it lasts much longer than any Pep Boys bought wax...
I know a thing or two about store bought waxes (have a whole box full of them).. been through pretty much all of them and this is the first time that I am truly satisfied...
BTW: I wasn't asked to post this or wasn't paid or given any freebies... Just wanted to express my satisfaction...
And finally a few pics.
Thanks

Good looking, MINI. I like the background choice for your pics, too. Nice.

Thanks guys!... The pics were taken a few blocks from where I live... It's an area called Coral Gables and people use this as a backdrop to take wedding pics, etc...
I need to take more since my battery died the day I took it out... I also need to take pics of the wife's car and show off all the reds in the family...

Nice Job!
And yes, Epic Rocks.
If you use Hydro after washes (on top of the Epic), it may still look that way after six MONTHs. Awesome stuff.

On closer examination of the right hand photo, I detect a small speck of dust on the left rear window.

Your car is beautiful! I'm partial to RED cars myself, having just acquired my Chili Red MINI last week. I also think your choice of settings was perfect; it's something many people fail to ponder when snapping pix of their rides. Backgrounds should compliment the subject, not detract or distract from it! Thanks for sharing your review and your photos with us.
I notice that quite a few of my MINI brothers and sisters use the Prima products. I've always been a Meguiar's fan, and still have quite a few Meguiar's products kicking around. How do they compare with the Prima products?

In my garage is a very large cabinet full of detatiling products including Meguiar's and other brands. For two years I used Meguiar's 3-step plus a poly sealer. This year I decided to see what all the shouting is about and bought Prima products which include Mystique, Epic, Banana Gloss, and Hydro. Based on the ease of use and the high quality results from the Prima products; I am going to make a lot of room available in my detailing cabinet soon.
The proof is in the pudding - ease of use - simple process - deep high gloss having a wet look - show car results - and people asking, "How do you get that shine on your car?"
Do you need any extra Meguiar's products? Oh, and I have a California Jelly Blade - used only once on the glass - for sale.

Having come from being a die hard Meguiar's user (mostly professional products as well as their consumer NXT line), I can say that I like Prima so much better.
Some of the simple reasons.
1.) Prima Swirl washes from a foam buffing pad in seconds with just warm water--no soap. This encourages the user to always polish using fresh clean pads.
2.) Prima products were designed with the Porter Cable RO polisher in mind--so their formulations from Cut to Amigo are optimized for machine polishing where as Meguiar's DC products are hand applied.
3.) Staying within the Prima system, you have options! You can polish swirls out or fill them in. You can polish paint or just opt to protect with a wax. There are 3 levels of waxes depending on your time available--from nearly no effort Hydro, to slightly more involved Banana Gloss, to the most protection Epic.
I still use Meguiar's products like their mild Blue Clay, APC Plus, Hyper Dressing--products that really don't have any equals within Prima..but polishing, waxing, and maintenance, Prima rocks...and that's why it's my "Go to" products for restoring paint--and why I love to sell the product line.
