cons: too many folks asking the same thing over and over.

Yep, my bad, you're right. I should have searched existing threads. Thing is though, often trying to sift through the irrelevant banter to find a useful tidbit is exhausting.

nothing is free leicaguy.

for me though, pressure washers are too high of a pressure for my tastes.

OG has a nice portable one for sale at his shop if you dont have access
to water (ie: apartment, etc).

Pressure Washers?

Depends what you are washing. You can adjust the pressure by the distance you hold the washer to your paint. Hold it inches away and it'll strip the paint off. Hold it "feet away" and it feels like cotton candy.

If you want to wash salt off the undercarriage, they can be useful. If you want to wash your patio and your MINI, it might be useful. Professional detailers use pressure washers because they bring their own water with them, and to get the water out of the tanks, they need a pressure washer to suck the water out.

Pressure washers can be a liability though--having too much power on tap. As Kenchan mentioned, for those that want to wash their MINIs without restriction by power or water source, my Nomad 18volt pressure washers are awesome.

I once hit my forearm with the blast from my power washer - stripped my clearcoat right off. Con!

Pros....?

Cons: Risk of damage like removing badges, trim, stripes, and seals - drives water where it should not be - drives soapy where it should not be - damage to brakes - too severe for car washing and detailing tasks.

Pros: Makes cleaning dirty wheels a breeze!
Cons: Accidently strip off some paint off of my brake calipers.
