Tannin stain removal

We left our new Sparkling Silver Clubman parked under a maple tree. A number of seed pods fell on, got wet and remained in place for several days.

The result are some very stubborn brown stains on the roof. We haven't tried any thing beyond a thorough and vigorous washing.

Any thoughts.

I have had good luck removing stains with a good polish. I've used Malm's Formula 10 Polish & Glaze to take the spotting out of the vinyl strips on my '02 MCS but i suppose any good polish will probably clean it.
